Wir, die Schererstr. 8, sind ein selbstverwaltetes Hausprojekt. Wir sind ein 45-köpfiger bunter Haufen kreativer und politisch interessierter Individuen zwischen 0 und 60 Jahren, die selbstbestimmt, undogmatisch und hierarchiefrei zusammen leben, wohnen und arbeiten wollen. Das Haus, in dem wir wohnen, haben wir 2010 gekauft und es somit vor spekulationen auf dem Immobilienmarkt gesichert. Die Schererstr. befindet sich in Berlin - Wedding, ein weiterer Stadtteil, der zunehmend von Gentrifizierung geprägt ist. Wir versuchen uns als soziokultureller Freiraum aktiv in die Stadtpolitik einzumischen und den herrschenden avaerhältnissen bzw. stadtpolitischen Praxen entgegenzuwirken. In unseren Räumen findet eine Sozialberatung statt, ein Infoladen lädt ein zum Lesen, Stöbern und Diskutieren. Regelmäßige Kiezküche, Soli - Brunch und Freebox sind alternative Ansätze, die sich gegen das gängige Konsumverhalten in der Gesellschaft richten und Teil des Projektes sind. Weiterhin gibt es eine Fahrrad- und Siebdruckwerkstatt, ein Proberaum, ein Sportraum sowie eine entstehende Kletterwand. Wöchentliche Filmvorführung, Konzerte und Partys werden auf den Veranstaltungsflächen organisiert. Neben der Umsetzung dieser vielen kleinen Projekte benötigen wir auch viel Zeit und Energie für die Selbstverwaltung des Hauses. Wir treffen uns einmal wöchentlich auf unserem Hausplenum, wo Diskussionen stattfinden und Entscheidung getroffen werden. Zusätzlich gibt es diverse Arbeitskreise, wo bestimmte Aufgaben ausgegliedert und bearbeitet werden. Es gibt z. B. den Finanz-AK, der den gesamten Zahlungsverkehr des Hauses organisiert oder den Sanierungs - AK, der bestimmte Aufgaben bzgl. des Sanierungsvorhabens übernimmt. Eine weitere Arbeitsgruppe realisiert die Bespielung des Bar - und Konzertraumes.
We are the Schererstr. 8, a self - organised housing project. We are a colourful bunch of creative and politically active individuals between 0 and 60 years of age. Our goals are to live and work collectively, undogmatically, and free of hierarchies. We purchased our building in 2010 to rescue it from the speculation of the property market. Our street is located in the district of Berlin - Wedding, a district increasingly marked by gentrification. As a socio - cultural free space we try to actively intervene in local politics and work against the domination of current social and development practices. Our open rooms are used as a social advice centre, and as an Infoshop offering the public a place to read, discover, and discuss. Other parts of our project include a regular community kitchen, solidarity brunch, and a Freeshop, all of which offer an alternative to current consumerist practices. We also organise a bike workshop, screen printing facility, band practice room, and sport room as well as a climbing wall. Weekly film screening, concerts and parties are organised in our event spaces. Alongside the work involved in these smaller projects a lot of our time and energy is take up with the administration of the house. We meet once a week for a houseplenary, where discussions take place and decisions are made. Certain tasks are delegated to spacial workgroups. For example, the Finances group organises all the financial issues, while the Renovation group looks after specific building tasks, in particular those that deal with preparations for renovating the house. A different working group organises the activities in the bar and event spaces.

IP Plan
The IP Addresses given to the Scherer8 are 10.230.229.0/24 for the Client Network, 10.230.226.192/26 for Meshing, and 2001:bf7:750:2e00::/56 to use without regard for anything since I have oh-so-very-many addresses.
DHCP Client Network managed by the core router. DHCP6 has been disabled on the client network because all traffic was routed to the only IPv6 gateway on the backbone. With DHCP6 disabled, the clients get the selected Smart Gateway.

Services
Weather Station
The first of hopefully many services was added to the Scherer8 on the 11th of December 2017. The weather station is built upon a Raspberry Pi. Currently the station measures the temperature, air quality, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, wind gust speed, wind direction, and precipitation.
The weather station is reachable on the Berlin Backbone at scherer8-wetter.olsrand it should also be possible to connect to the weather station from outside of the Backbone via 2001:bf7:750:2e0f::10.
