Choosing an Image

• I think in the beginning you should sort out which image to choose because the description is based on a certain image. like:

  I believe this information should be presented in another document such as "Choosing a Firmware Image" -Perry

  • for this we should reference to Berlin:Firmware#Image-Typen, to only have one place to document the types

    - I agree that this is an excellet place to keep the information. But it is also terribly out of date and contains very little detail. @sam0815, could you image updating this section?

  • default: Der freifunk-Knoten bei dem der Traffic direkt ausgeleitet wird.
  • tunnel-berlin: Der freifunk-Knoten bei dem der traffic über den community-tunnel ausgeleitet wird.
  • vpn03 _deprecated_: Der freifunk-Knoten bei dem der traffic über vpn03 des Fördervereins ausgeleitet wird. Damit funktionieren noch die alten keys/Schlüssel bis Mitte Mai 2018.

  • I understand that it should be more descriptive and the current version is a good basis for that. But I think we should transfer some of the side-information (history and law stuff and so on...) into own articles or other parts of the Howto. Now, plenty information not dealing with the images is given. -Martin

Bebilderung der Anleitung

Hallo Leute,

ich wollte gerade auf diese Tutorial-Seite verlinken und habe festgestellt, dass es im Gegensatz zur alten Anleitung von berlin.freifunk.net keine Bilder gibt. Ich denke aber, dass sie ganz praktisch gerade für Einsteiger sind. Was haltet ihr von der Idee, diese Bilder hier wieder einzufügen?

P.S.: Waren diese Bilder nicht sogar in einer früheren Version des Drafts enthalten?

Klar gibt's die Bilder, eben auf den eigentlichen Seiten des Howtos, u.a. Berlin:Firmware:Howto:Flash -- Maqi (Diskussion) 13:16, 22. Mai 2018 (CEST)
