Fields we should use

API for map of communities

Idea for the map is to use open streetmap with a minimalistic style, eg. this mapbox. A hover shows for each lokal community, that is using the API, a tooltipp with some details and link to the communities website.

Following fields should be shown in the GUI (think of newbees, that's why it should not contain to many tech details)

• name of community
• city
• url

• url node map (optional)
• mailinglist (optional)
• amount of nodes (optional)

• phone (optional)
• email (optional)
• facebook (optional)
• twitter (optional)
• irc (optional)
• jabber (optional)
• identica (optional)

• events (optional; for weekly meetings, eg. name, time, location, text)

Following fields should be in the API, but not in GUI

• latitude
• longitude
• timestamp (here we need a rule, when to mark inactive communities grey and send them a request to update; when should they be deleted?)
• newsfeed (optional; will be aggregated as community feeds on freifunk.net)

Following fields could be in the API, but not in GUI or maybe as an expand

They are representing the info from Freifunk Firmware/Übersicht Communities ... which we can use then for the wikipage as well?
