This is the idea I have been pursuing from time ago. I like to be involved in this project somehow.

I believe there is a broad range of applications and communities that potentially would use the open device you propose, nevertheless to be cost effective a big quantity of devices has to be built.

I suggest to follow also a modular approach based on standard blocks availables most of them in the market.

I appreciate from you also some feedback regarding the way to collaborate. I am promoting the initiative openFONplatform wich is based on openhardware and your project seem to feet very well our needs.
